My friend Jake took these photos with his iPhone while we were in New York and in my rural New England hometown. He used some sort of awesome iPhone filter to color the photos this way. I love the quality of the images!

Recycled Candle

Last weekend I found myself in my apartment with an empty beer bottle and a lot of burning candles. After pouring a bit of hot wax into the empty beer bottle, I dropped in a piece of string for a wick. I continued pouring wax from lit candles throughout the night and the following week. Little by little I filled the bottle to the top.

Breaking the glass to get the candle out required some careful hammer tapping at the curb outside my apartment, but it was worth it.
